A house in the town of Femés suffers a fire without injuries, only significant material damage.
This Saturday, January 14, a fire broke out in the room of a house located on Mararía street in the town of Femés. The rapid intervention of the Fire Fighting Unit of the Civil Protection of Yaiza, first, and the work of the Firefighters of the Consortium of Lanzarote, who joined the work of suffocation and cooling, prevented the flames from spreading throughout the building.
Although there was considerable material damage, no injuries were recorded. Among the losses are a bed, books, a closet and other belongings.
The authorities have not determined the causes of the fire. Civil Protection of Yaiza reports that once at the scene, the troops found an intense fire. Members of the Local Police of Yaiza supported the work of the firefighters.
