Firefighters rescue a woman injured inside her home in San Bartolomé

Local Police officers and an ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service went to the scene.

Firefighters rescued an Italian woman in her 50s on Saturday who had an accident in her home, as reported by the Emergency Consortium. The incident took place in the house located on Párroco San Martín street.

Once alerted by the CECOES, Local Police officers, firefighters and an ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service were dispatched.

The firefighters accessed the house through a window without causing damage. The woman was on the kitchen floor and reported severe pain. In collaboration with the healthcare personnel, they placed a neck brace on her and proceeded to immobilize her with a rescue board.

Later, she was transferred to the ambulance stretcher and from there she was evacuated to the Molina Orosa hospital.
