Firefighters had to act this Saturday, December 21, in two fires in Arrecife, according to the Emergency Consortium.
The first occurred at 4:03 p.m. on Aires de Lima street in the Argana Alta neighborhood, where a column of smoke was reported in an abandoned construction site. Once on the scene, they located the fire in the basement of the construction site in two different spots, in two rooms, about 30 meters apart.
The second intervention was at 6:34 p.m. on a plot of land on La Niña street. The Arrecife Local Police were in the area and collaborated in closing the street. Smoke came from inside the walled plot, which emergency personnel accessed with the help of two ladders. After locating the fire, they extinguished it with water first and then with foam.
