A 76-year-old woman has suffered a mild anxiety attack after a fire broke out in the patio of her home in Costa Teguise. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon on Fuerteventura Street, at the corner of La Laguna Street in the tourist town.
Firefighters received an alert reporting a fire in Costa Teguise, in a wooden cabin, although it turned out to be a patio. At that time, they were at another fire in a garage in Teguise, which was already almost extinguished.
They quickly moved to the tourist town. Apparently, in this place where the fire started, there were several butane cylinders. Two of them, large in size, and one small one, cracked as a result of the fire.
A neighbor in the area even heard a loud explosion. Firefighters proceeded to cool the butane cylinders.
Paramedics from 112 also went to the scene to attend to a woman, who managed to leave the house on her own. The affected woman was very nervous and suffered a mild anxiety attack, so the paramedics transferred her to the Valterra Health Center in an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC).
