A 63-year-old German man was seriously injured after falling off his bicycle on the road from Tinajo to La Santa, in the Cuchillo area, within the Lanzarote municipality of Tinajo.
According to the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (Cecoes) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands, at 15:35 hours they received an alert reporting that a man had suffered a fall on a bicycle and needed medical assistance.
Cecoes immediately activated the necessary emergency resources, including a basic life support ambulance and an advanced life support ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) and Local Police officers.
The affected man, who at the initial moment of assistance presented a severe head injury, after being stabilized by the SUC health personnel, was transferred in a SUC medicalized ambulance to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
For its part, the Local Police instructed the corresponding proceedings.
