The Cabildo of Lanzarote, after various coordination conversations with the town councils of Haría and Teguise; the Environment area and the Lanzarote Security and Emergencies Consortium; has proceeded to close part of a trail in the Risco de Famara area.
Specifically, access has been restricted that connects the so-called “House of Water” and runs halfway up the Cliff, until reaching the path that connects with the ascent to Guinate.
This punctual closure occurs after the landslide that took place on Tuesday afternoon, as this path connects Famara beach and El Risco beach.
From the competent authorities, who continue in absolute coordination, they will continue during these days analyzing the possible damages that this collapse may have caused and, as far as possible, reopen this path as soon as possible.
