The five-star hotel establishments in Lanzarote saw their rates drop by 8% in April compared to the same month of the previous year. Thus, the price per night was 291 euros.
Since last October, the island's five-star hotels have systematically lowered prices each month compared to the previous year, except in December when they had to freeze them.
The four-star hotels have had a similar behavior, prices dropped in the same months as the five-star ones, although in December they were able to raise their rates compared to the previous year.
In April, four-star hotels reduced their prices by 7% compared to last year, making the average price per night 195 euros.
Instead, three-star hotels have raised prices compared to last year every month. In April, their rates rose by 6% to achieve an average of 118 euros per night.
The Hotel Satisfaction Index offered by Mabrian Technologies for April in Lanzarote fell 6.1% compared to last year to 57.6 points.
For its part, the Global Tourism Perception Index (GTPI) fell 8.6% to 69.7 points. This index measures the general level of visitor satisfaction with Lanzarote on Twitter, Instagram, Tripadvisor, Expedia, and Booking.com.
Finally, the Satisfaction with Security index in Lanzarote increased 1.3 points in April to 96.5 points.
