Members of the Civil Protection Corps of Yaiza, attached to the Department of Security, Police and Civil Protection, participated this Friday at noon in the extinguishing of a fire registered in a
passenger vehicle that, for unknown reasons, caught fire while traveling along a rural road near the Yaiza Institute.
The members of Civil Protection, under the direction of Councilor José A. Lemes Cabrera, were alerted by the Local Police after a call for help was registered to put out this small fire that completely burned the vehicle.
The incident, according to a statement from the southern City Council itself, occurred on a rural road that connects the town of Mácher (Tías) with the Las Capitas area, next to the Yaiza Secondary Education Institute, near the tourist urbanization of Puerto Calero.
