Emerlan rescued this Wednesday night a catamaran, with two crew members on board, which was "out of control" 100 meters from the coast of Las Caletas.

According to the NGO, its team was activated at around 11:30 p.m. by the Maritime Rescue tower in Las Palmas.

The Emerlan boat based in La Tiñosa set course for the coordinates given by Maritime Rescue and located the boat, about 11 meters long.  According to the NGO, the crew members stated that, when they were approaching the port of Marina Lanzarote, they suffered an engine failure.

Emerlan proceeded to tow the catamaran to the port, where it left it docked.
