The National Police arrested a man last Monday as the alleged perpetrator of a brutal attack that occurred two days earlier in Arrecife. The events took place last Saturday on La Inés street, specifically in a vacant lot.
There a man was found who had received at least one violent blow to the head, which caused him a traumatic brain injury. Although he was initially transferred to the Molina Orosa Hospital in Arrecife, he was later referred to Gran Canaria, and as of this Wednesday he remained in the Doctor Negrín Hospital in critical condition.
After the event, the National Police opened an investigation that culminated last Monday with the arrest of a man as the alleged perpetrator of the events. The detainee, of whom no further details have been released so far, is a native of Arrecife.
