The Civil Guard of Costa Teguise arrested on June 26 a 46-year-old person, with numerous police records against property, as alleged perpetrator of a robbery with force, by accessing the interior of the post office of Haría and stealing around 100 euros in cash and two postal packages.
The investigation began as a result of a complaint, in which it was reported that they had accessed the interior of the post office after forcing the access door during closing hours, to steal two packages whose contents were unknown and cash. After that, the Civil Guard initially recovered one of the open packages in a nearby orchard
In addition, with this data, the agents of the Investigation Area took charge of the steps to clarify the facts, locating through citizen collaboration some partial data of the license plate of the vehicle that had been used.
Based on the principle of police collaboration, all the information in this regard was collected with the Local Police of Haría, in which the data of a license plate (partial) could be shared, which was also verified with information provided by the Local Police of Teguise, in which the data of the vehicle used was confirmed and that, in addition, the criminal act had been carried out by two people.
Therefore, knowing the brand, model and complete license plate, we proceeded to consult databases of actions with said vehicle, as well as to request collaboration from the other police forces of the island in case they had knowledge of any event related to said car, giving the circumstance that it had been immobilized because the driver lacked a class B driving license by the Local Police of Arrecife, with the driver in police custody.
Immediately, the Civil Guard moved to these facilities, where they proceeded to arrest the alleged perpetrator, who later acknowledged the authorship of the described events. The investigation remains open to locate the other alleged perpetrator of the events.
