Arrested at Lanzarote airport after trying to fly with a false passport

The woman, of Syrian nationality, was detected in the police control established at the boarding of a flight to Barcelona

Agents of the National Police have arrested a 57-year-old woman at the Lanzarote-César Manrique airport, with a police record as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of document forgery.

The events unfolded during a police control established at the boarding of a flight to Barcelona, at the Lanzarote airport.

A passenger identified herself with a passport of German nationality, but police investigations revealed that the documentation presented was false. Finally, this person voluntarily admitted to the agents that the passport was false and provided the police officers with her true identity of Syrian nationality.

Therefore, agents of the National Police proceeded to arrest her as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of document forgery. The corresponding police report was prepared and sent to the competent Judicial Authority.
