The neighborhood association Argana Viva asks the Arrecife City Council for a greater police presence after the fire this Friday night of two containers that caused damage to a vehicle.

"From our association, we demand that the City Council begin to apply sanctions, and that there be more police presence in the neighborhood. This situation has to be resolved as soon as possible. It cannot be that in the most populated neighborhood of the capital, not even a municipal police vehicle passes by. Don't the residents of Argana Alta pay taxes? As always, the residents of Argana Alta suffer the consequences of poor municipal management," they point out.

They add that "our association is against these acts of vandalism and that is why we demand that the pertinent sanctions be applied, because the other residents do not have to suffer the consequences of lack of security in our neighborhood."

Finally, they state that one of the factors that influence these acts is the "lack of lighting on the streets, as is the case of Luján Pérez street, which when driving through it at night causes a terrible feeling of insecurity."
