Playa Blanca is open to the public again this Tuesday after being closed since Saturday, May 4, according to the Security and Emergency Consortium.
The Yaiza City Council established the closure to swimming at the beach in the town of Playa Blanca in Yaiza due to fecal water contamination. All of this was triggered by spills due to a problem originating at the pumping station, Consortium sources told EFE.
During this Monday, the beach remained closed while specific analyses were being carried out. "They are waiting for the analyses" to make its reopening effective, they transferred from the Consistory to La Voz.
