A 22-year-old woman has suffered mild smoke inhalation poisoning and had to be transferred in an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
At 11:06 p.m., an alert was received at the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands, reporting a fire in a storage room located in a residential building where vehicle spare parts were stored, which forced the evacuation of the homes, on Doctor Ramón y Cajal Street, in Arrecife.
1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources. As a result of the fire, SUC personnel attended to a woman affected with mild symptoms and transferred her to a hospital center.
Firefighters were in charge of extinguishing the flames and preventing them from spreading to other parts of the building. The police services instructed the corresponding procedures.
