A 29-year-old woman has been seriously injured after the vehicle she was traveling in overturned. Two other occupants, a man and a 4-year-old boy, were unharmed.
The events took place at 2:41 a.m., when the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert reporting a traffic accident in the municipality of Tías. The car had run off the road and subsequently overturned, leaving three people trapped inside.
The 1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources. Firefighters proceeded to free the woman, who had a fractured ulna and radius and severe multiple injuries, and was attended to by the staff of the SUC medical ambulance. Once stabilized, the injured woman was transferred to the hospital. The other occupants, a man and a 4-year-old boy, were unharmed. The Local Police are carrying out the corresponding report.
