Woman injured after suffering a fall on Pedro Barba Beach in La Graciosa

A 62-year-old German woman has been injured with a less serious leg injury after falling on Pedro Barba beach in La Graciosa. The incident took place at approximately 12:30 p.m. this Friday when the Canary Islands Government's Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 received the alert about the incident.

A GES rescue helicopter, a doctor and nurse from the La Graciosa Health Center, a basic life support ambulance, local police officers and Lanzarote Emergency and Rescue personnel have been dispatched to the scene.

Once at the scene, the doctor and nurse from the Health Center assisted the injured woman until she was rescued by the GES helicopter, which transferred her to Lanzarote Airport. There, a basic life support ambulance from the SUC was waiting for her, whose personnel assisted the affected woman and transferred her to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
