A 50-year-old woman was transferred this Friday to the Molina Orosa Hospital in serious condition after being rescued at Playa Chica, in Puerto del Carmen, with signs of drowning. The incident took place at around 10:30 a.m., when a notice was given to the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security 112.
In that call, sanitary assistance was requested for a woman who had been taken out of the water and was unconscious. Personnel from the Canary Emergency Service went to the scene, who were in charge of assisting and stabilizing the affected woman, later transferring her in a medicalized ambulance to the hospital.
Agents from the Local Police of Tías and the Civil Guard also went to the scene, who took charge of the corresponding procedures.
