An 80-year-old woman drowned this Monday morning in Playa Honda, in the area known as Playa del Curita.
The victim was a resident of Playa Honda and, apparently, went out for a walk on the beach every morning, where she usually took a bath afterwards. However, at around 7:45 this Monday, her body was found floating in the sea by another resident of the area.
This person was in charge of taking her out of the water but, according to the Security and Emergency Consortium, nothing could be done to save her life.
Civil Guard and Local Police officers have also moved to the area, awaiting the arrival of the judicial authority, in order to proceed with the removal of the body.
