A 56-year-old woman died this Friday after falling in a mountain area in Femés, as reported by CECOES. The accident took place around 2:37 p.m. in the area of the southern municipality of Yaiza.
Once CECOES was alerted, two ambulances were dispatched, one medicalized and another with basic life support from the SUC, the Emergency Consortium, Civil Guard and Local Police.
The firefighters accessed the affected person, who was in a difficult to access place, and, after verifying that she was in cardiorespiratory arrest, began to perform resuscitation maneuvers.
Subsequently, the health personnel verified that the affected person continued in cardiorespiratory arrest and continued practicing basic and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers without obtaining results, confirming her death.
Once the Benemérita has given the authorization, the body has been transferred to Femés, where the Judicial Police were waiting. In addition, the Civil Guard agents were in charge of instructing the corresponding proceedings.
