This Saturday a child of approximately two years of age fell from a balcony located on the third floor of the Hotel Princesa Yaiza in Playa Blanca. The child was transferred by a medicalized ambulance of the Canary Islands Emergency Service to the General Hospital in critical condition, according to the 112 emergency service, suffering from severe head trauma and chest trauma.

Health sources assure that the child had to be subsequently transferred to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, where he has remained in a coma for the last few hours. The child, of American nationality, was with his family on vacation staying at the Hotel Princesa Yaiza, on Papayo Avenue in Playa Blanca, when, according to health sources, in an oversight by his parents who had left the balcony door open, the little one approached the railing and fell from the third floor.
