Around 4:30 p.m. this Monday, an alert was received at 112 about the disappearance of a surfer on El Papelillo beach in Famara. Another young man who was surfing on the same beach raised the alarm. Several rescue units went to the scene and began the search by land, sea and air. After two hours of searching, only the remains of the surfboard were found on some rocks in front of the beach.
In the late afternoon, the operation was suspended until Tuesday
