A Binter plane that took off at 7:30 p.m. bound for Lanzarote had to return to Gran Canaria after suffering "a hydraulic problem" in mid-flight.
That is what the crew communicated to the passengers on board the plane, which turned around after about 20 minutes of flight, landing back in Gran Canaria at about 8:20 p.m. "It was a scare, although the flight was calm," said a Lanzarote woman who was on board.
Once on the ground, the plane "locks up" and had to be towed along the runway, while the passengers were still inside and "in the dark." After that, the passengers were finally able to get off the plane. Due to this, other planes had to wait to land until the runway was cleared and checked.

At 9:35 p.m. they took off again on another plane and landed in Lanzarote at 10:10 p.m.
