A man has been slightly injured in a traffic accident this Wednesday in Arrecife. In the incident, which took place in front of the Fishermen's Association, in the Naos roundabout, a truck and a car collided. As a result of the crash, the truck driver suffered a minor injury and was transferred to the Molina Orosa hospital by ambulance.
The Coordinating Center for Security and Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands received the accident alert at about 8 am and sent a basic ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service to the area. Upon arrival, its paramedics attended to the only injured person and diagnosed him with trauma to his arm.
The firefighters of the Security and Emergency Consortium have also been notified of the incident and have come to the scene, as did the Local Police of Arrecife. Because of the impact, the truck was across the road. Consortium troops were responsible for cleaning the oil and put it back on all four wheels to remove it from the site, in addition to "securing the area" and cleaning the road.
