A 53-year-old man with a police record has been arrested for a crime of gender violence that occurred in the municipality of Teguise. The alarm was raised by several witnesses, who reported that the arrested man was "strongly hitting" a woman on the LZ-1 road, in the section from Tahíche to Guatiza.
Local Police officers arrived at the scene, proceeded to arrest him and then transferred him to the Civil Guard barracks in Costa Teguise, where the corresponding police proceedings were carried out.
Regarding the victim, the Local Police of Teguise point out that she had to be transferred by ambulance to the José Molina Orosa Hospital as a result of the injuries suffered.
