A 42-year-old man stabbed his 43-year-old wife to death with a 20-centimeter knife in the municipality of Telde in the presence of their three children, one of whom also received a stab wound. The victim's mother, 85, was also present and was injured.
The man used a 20-centimeter knife with which he also attacked his mother-in-law and the eldest of his three children, 14, is recovering in the hospital from a wound suffered in the chest.
According to the Government Delegation in the Canary Islands, the alleged aggressor is Jesús R.S., 43, who, after killing his wife, also wounded his son Jesús O.R.S., 14, and his mother-in-law, Reyes S.M., 85, with the same weapon.
In the course of the aggression, the man was also wounded in the chest, and, although he is stable, he has been admitted under custody in the critical care area of the Emergency Department of the Doctor Negrín Hospital, sources from the center reported.
For reasons that are unknown, since there was no discussion between them, the alleged aggressor stabbed his wife in the family home in the presence of his mother-in-law and his three children, aged 14, 10, and 4.
The eldest of the children and the grandmother were injured with the same knife with which the man took his wife's life. Meanwhile, the two younger brothers called one of their uncles to tell him what was happening.
When he arrived at the house, he struggled with the alleged aggressor to try to take the weapon away from him - without succeeding - and with which Jesús finally took his wife's life.
The two young children, who are receiving psychological help, are being cared for by relatives.
The events occurred at around 2:00 p.m. in the family home, a house located at number 16 Palmitos Street, in the San Gregorio neighborhood, police sources reported.
After committing the aggressions, the alleged perpetrator of the same, went, with the 20-centimeter knife, towards the Plaza de San Gregorio de Telde, where a member of the National Police gave him the high, an order that Jesús R.S., tried to evade violently, sources from the Government Delegation reported.
For this reason, the police officer fired two shots into the air to try to intimidate the alleged aggressor, whom he later arrested and transferred to the Gran Canaria Doctor Negrín Hospital.
