National Police agents have arrested in Arrecife a 33-year-old young man of Dominican nationality, with numerous police records, as he had five judicial arrest warrants in force. According to the police force, the reasons for the judicial requisitions were robbery with force, theft and mistreatment and the man was sent to prison after testifying before the judge.
The events unfolded when police officers carrying out crime prevention work within the framework of the Safe Commerce Plan in Triana Street in the capital of Lanzarote proceeded to identify an individual.
The agents were able to verify that there were five arrest warrants issued by two courts of Arrecife for crimes of theft, robbery with force and mistreatment, proceeding to his arrest. The alleged participation of the arrested person in a crime of threats is also being investigated.
After the corresponding police report was prepared, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority, who ordered his imprisonment.
