An Iberia Express flight on the Madrid-Lanzarote route had to return to Adolfo Suárez Airport this Monday due to a "violent passenger" on board.
According to what Air Traffic Controllers published on their Twitter, the plane returned to Madrid when it had already been flying for an hour and had flown over Extremadura and part of Portugal.
Once on the ground, according to Diario de Avisos, the Civil Guard identified the man, who remained in their custody.
This was the third incident that occurred this Monday at the Adolfo Suárez Airport in Madrid, after a drone forced it to close for an hour and a half and an Air Canada plane bound for Toronto with 128 passengers on board had to make an emergency landing after suffering a blowout in a tire and damage to an engine.
