An Air Europa plane has been paralyzed for more than 40 minutes in the hangar of the Gran Canaria airport due to a fight between two passengers because one of them refused to wear a mask.

The confrontation began when, at the scheduled flight time (10:00 a.m.), the plane began to take off for Madrid. While it was taxiing on the runway, a passenger noticed that another was not wearing a mask, so he asked him to put it on. The man who was committing the infraction refused to listen to him, which started a dispute that ended with a punch from him directed at the person who reprimanded him, according to witnesses who were inside the ship.

Faced with this tense situation, the commander aborted the take-off operation and drove the plane to the hangar at Gran Canaria airport, awaiting National Police officers to take charge of the man who refused to comply with the current health protection measures.
