The Civil Guard of Tías had to intervene in the early hours of last Sunday, after receiving a call that alerted of a possible rape of a woman in Puerto del Carmen, during the Carnival celebrations. In the end, it was all a false alarm.
The event took place at about 1 a.m., according to the Local Police, who were also required, although they did not finally go to the scene. "Apparently it was just a young couple, who someone must have seen and thought they were being raped," they reported from the Local Police, from where they confirmed that it was a "false alarm" and "there was no complaint."
Apart from this incident, the Local Police say that there have only been some "small, unimportant fights" and that, compared to the previous year, there have been fewer incidents.
