A 44-year-old Spanish man with numerous police records has posed as a fake occupational risk inspector to collect new first-aid kits in companies on the island of Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote.

According to reports from the National Police, an individual, posing as an Occupational Risk Inspector or similar, entered the establishment under the pretext of supervising the change of first-aid kit. After gaining the trust of the staff, he proceeded to change it, charging amounts that could reach up to 380 euros.

To make it more believable, he provided an alleged invoice that included the service provided. In all cases, the scams committed were for an amount less than 400 euros, possibly to avoid police detention in his case.

The National Police investigation managed to identify the man and link him to several events committed in different locations in Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Tenerife through the same procedure.
