In the months of January, February, and March, a total of 1,484 vehicles were registered in Lanzarote, which represents a 38.9% increase compared to the 1,068 registered during the same months last year, according to figures provided by the Lanzarote Data Center.
In the specific case of cars (passenger cars) the figure has more than doubled. In the first quarter of the year, a total of 1,128 cars were registered, compared to 606 last year.
By municipalities, Arrecife added the largest number of registrations with a total of 369 vehicles in the first three months of the year, 36 more than the previous year, followed by San Bartolomé with a total of 334, which represents 21 more cars than last year.
Next, Tías, where 287 vehicles were registered, more than double than last year in the same period, followed by the municipality of Teguise with 217 registrations (102 more than the previous year), registered between January and March 2026.
In Yaiza, 153 vehicles were registered, (31 more than the previous year) while in Tinajo there were 97, which represents 66 more, and in Haría 27 vehicles instead of the 20 that were counted last year.
