A cauldron forgotten on the fire in a house in Arrecife caused a fire this Tuesday afternoon, which forced the firefighters of the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium to act. The incident took place on Tamaragua street.
When the firefighters arrived at the scene, agents of the National Police informed them that there had been a fire in the kitchen of a house, in which luckily there was no one inside. The firefighters entered the house to locate the fire and extinguish it.
Thus, they have verified that it was a cauldron forgotten in the fire that caused the fire of the extractor and part of the heaters. The firefighters extinguished the fire and checked the house to confirm that there was no one inside.
They have also opened all possible windows to ventilate the house and have disconnected the electricity and gas supply for safety. After the house was well ventilated, the firefighters ended their performance and returned to the station.
