Firefighters rescued a kitten that was trapped in a cistern in Guatiza on Wednesday morning, according to the Emergency Consortium.
The incident occurred at 11.27 when the Local Police alerted the firefighters. Once on the scene, the emergency personnel went down to the cistern with the hook ladder and placed the animal in a carrier to later remove it from the enclosure. Once outside, it was handed over to the animal collection service staff of the City Council who took charge of it.
