A boat with six crew members has been rescued this Thursday, after having been adrift in the Papagayo area. Emerlan personnel have been activated by 112 at around 5:00 p.m., when they were informed that a boat was in distress one mile from the coast.

Upon arriving at the scene, the boat had been dragged by the sea and was already 3 miles from Papagayo. According to the NGO, the occupants were fine, although one of them had "mild hypothermia" and was provided with a thermal blanket.

All of them moved to the Emerlan boat, where they were assisted and transferred to Puerto Calero, where the boat was also towed.
