A 45-year-old man has been seriously injured after his truck left the road on the LZ-2, near the La Hoya bridge in the municipality of Yaiza. The incident took place at approximately 15:46 this Thursday, at which time an alert was received at the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands reporting a road departure with a truck falling from a bridge and its driver was trapped.
Agents of the Local Police, the Civil Guard, two ambulances from the SUC and firefighters from the Lanzarote Emergency Consortium have traveled to the scene. Once at the scene of the accident, the firefighters released the driver. The SUC health personnel, once the first assistance was provided to the injured person, who presented cranial and chest trauma, and stabilized, was transferred in a medicalized SUC ambulance to the Molina Orosa Hospital where he was admitted in serious condition.
