The Local Police of Yaiza arrested on Sunday a 23-year-old man as the alleged perpetrator of a robbery with force and climbing in a house in Playa Blanca. To sneak inside, the arrested man climbed the wall and forced one of the entrances to the house.
The events took place at 8:30 p.m. in the Brisas del Mar residential complex, on Avenida Femés. After the complaint from the owners of the property, municipal agents carried out several investigations and located the suspect on a central street in Playa Blanca.
Initially, the young man denied the robbery. Immediately afterwards, the Police asked him for explanations as to how it was possible that his shoe sole matched a footprint found at the scene. The suspect became nervous and confessed to the crime, according to the Yaiza City Council.
The young man stole some valuables and had to leave others behind before fleeing, upon hearing the tenants returning home. The Local Police of Yaiza initiated the appropriate procedures and the subject was brought to justice.
