A 77-year-old French man has died by drowning this Thursday in Playa Blanca. The event took place shortly before 6 p.m., when the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) received a notice that a swimmer had been pulled unconscious from the sea.
Upon arriving at the beach, the staff of the Canary Emergency Service confirmed that the man was in cardiorespiratory arrest and was in charge of continuing resuscitation maneuvers, although in the end they could only confirm his death.
A medicalized ambulance and another basic life support ambulance from the SUC, as well as agents of the Local Police, who took charge of the proceedings together with the judicial authority that attended the removal of the body, went to the scene.
