Traditional Christmas carols welcomed Christmas at the Casa Benito Pérez Armas in Yaiza this weekend with musical performances by the Parranda Janubio and the Rancho de Pascua de Yaiza on Thursday and Friday nights, respectively.
'El burrito sabanero' and 'Los peces en el río' (The Little Donkey from Savanna and The Fish in the River); sounded in the voices and instruments of half of Parranda Janubio, since the security measures to avoid the expansion of Covid-19 did not allow them all to go on stage at the same time, while 'Suenan las panderetas' and 'Venid pastorcillos' (Tambourines Sound and Come Shepherds) came from the hand of the Rancho de Pascua de Yaiza.

On Saturday, the little ones had their day of Christmas stories, performed by Vicki Do Santos and with Aarón Marqués on cello.
The activities will continue this week at the Casa Benito Pérez Armas in Yaiza with a new performance by the Parrada Janubio, the other half of which will offer its repertoire this Thursday the 17th, at 7:00 p.m. On Saturday the most fantastic stories will come from the hand of Cristina Temprano with a new storytelling session at 11:00 a.m. and on Sunday at 12:00 the family show 'Christmas Spell' arrives, by the Komba Producciones company and which has the collaboration of the Cabildo.

In this regard, the City Council indicates that there are still places available for the performance of the parranda and the storytelling session, and it is necessary to reserve through the email cultura@ayuntamientodeyaiza.es.
