Tickets to attend 'Escena Lanzarote', the performing arts festival created by the Tourist Centers, have already been put on sale, starting today, September 27th.

This event aims to transmit the legacy that César Manrique left in the performing arts, with a program that includes various shows in the spaces created by the artist from Lanzarote, to which the El Salinero Theater in Arrecife joins for the first time this year.

Under the stage direction of Quino Falero from Lanzarote, this edition will revolve around dance through quality projects aimed at all audiences, conceived and created in the islands and articulated from a universal language.

The CEO of the Tourist Centers, Benjamín Perdomo, has indicated that this event "has its own seal linked to the Art-Life binomial that Manrique imagined for the spaces of scenic creation, and that it intends to respond to the cultural demand of the island, both from residents and tourists."

Program

The show 'Leira', by the Nova Galega de Danza company, will open 'Escena Lanzarote' on October 28th.

This exhibition - which was a finalist for the best dance show and the best male performer at the Max 2021 awards - reflects the beauty of the work in the fields, placing women at the center of the interpretation.

The activities will continue with 'Migrare', a family proposal inspired by the work of the Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama that has obtained the award for the best Noches Fetén 2022 show and the Moritz Award for the best premiere at the Fira Tárrega 2021.

The Maduixa company will perform this exhibition on November 12th.

The program for this 2022 will culminate with 'Petitdanza', by the Natalia Medina company, a contemporary dance piece aimed at children, during the 19th of November; and with 'Arte', the new proposal from the José Porcel Flamenco Ballet, which will take place on December 28th and 29th.

And in 2023...

The cultural offer of this festival will continue during the first months of 2023, starting on January 4th with 'Tránsito', by the Canarian percussionist Paco Navarro, which amalgamates various themes such as sexuality, movement, loneliness, sadness, hope and love.

In the month of February, specifically on the 11th and 12th, 'Solos en el Jardín' will be performed, a set of three short dance-theater pieces composed by Hojarasca, by Reinier Alonso; Jardines encontrados, by Acerina Toledo; and Ishoku, by Patricia Afonso.

Finally, March will host the proposals 'The Best Bad Girls', which includes a dinner during the night of the 4th; and Tarasca - Réplica 2021 award for Best sound space -, by the Pieles company, will close the program of the next edition of Escena Lanzarote on March 18th.

All the information about the event as well as the tickets are available on the festival website.
