The Tías Library is developing a project to promote reading for the little ones. This is 'Diverbiblio', which was born "with the aim of children discovering the pleasure of reading, discovering stories and developing their imagination." The initiative has been launched by the municipality's Department of Culture in collaboration with the Ttri-Arte Cultural and Social Association.

Within this initiative, the Tías Library hosts a workshop every Friday, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., aimed at children from 7 years of age, to have fun with books. The City Council has explained that the well-known storyteller Cristina Temprano will be in charge, together with other professionals, of teaching these workshops, which will be open to the participation of all children without the need to register.

The Councilor for Culture of Tías, Amado Vizcaíno, explained that "with this project we intend to revitalize the library as a space so that it is filled with children interested in books, while promoting reading as a means of fun and learning."

Likewise, 'Diverbiblio' aims to "contribute to promoting knowledge and use of the library in the child population and establish reading habits, since by getting the child to discover the book and enjoy reading, other objectives will also be achieved for their integral formation as an individual, such as acquiring new knowledge, expanding vocabulary, awakening imagination and fantasy and even improving the child's self-esteem and developing their personality", they explain from the City Council.

Thanks to this new project, independent workshops will be held every Friday, which will, however, have a "common thread" that "hooks the little ones and they come to the library regularly." In addition, children will be able to become members of the library so that at the end of each workshop they can take books home.

"Workshops taught by other professionals, social educators and pedagogues will also be programmed, thus providing a variety of approaches and approaches when addressing the objectives of each workshop," adds the City Council.
