The Art, Culture and Tourism Centers have published the bases of the Sponsorship Call for non-profit entities of Lanzarote and La Graciosa and individuals who develop Carnival projects available through the following link.
This line of aid is aimed at murgas, batucadas, comparsas and floats, as well as drags and fantasy designers of the children's, adult and senior galas, in amounts ranging from 1,500 to 10,000 euros, and respond to the commitment made with the Carnival groups by the president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, and the councilors of the Tourist Centers and Culture, Ángel Vázquez and Jesús Machín, in order to be "economic support for the groups that make us laugh and dream during the holidays".
"With this call", Vázquez pointed out, "we want to support a festival that is part of the ethnographic heritage and cultural heritage of Lanzarote, and one more instrument for the promotion and projection of the island's image".
People interested in participating in this public initiative must submit their applications before 11:59 p.m. on March 03, 2025.
This call is framed within the scope of the Corporate Social Responsibility of the Tourist Centers, an instrument launched in 2024 that allows supporting cultural, social, sports and educational projects "that help build the island".
