Once again, Animayo returns to Arrecife. In this sixth edition, the Animayo summit arrives with a much more ambitious program than in previous editions, including internationally recognized guests for their work in major productions in its program. "We hope to have 4,000 participants," explained Animayo producer Damián Perea at the presentation, satisfied with the response that this initiative is having year after year.
From Thursday, March 23 to 25, 2017, the halls of the San Francisco Javier Civic Center in Arrecife will be the enclave for animation, video games and visual effects. Master Classes, presentations, workshops and presentations by some of the most outstanding and recognized specialists in animation, visual effects and video games, active for major international companies.
For her part, the mayor of Arrecife, Eva de Anta, said she was excited every year when the festival returns to Lanzarote, betting on animation made in the Canary Islands, and pointed out that she is proud to have "supported the celebration of the first Animayo, being a Councilor for Culture of the Arrecife City Council." According to her, since then they have seen "grow, enrich and improve this proposal linked to the seventh art and the promotion of animation. But above all, we have seen how its pedagogical commitment has increased, with presentations and workshops, with training scholarships, with contests that have recognized the genius and skills of our young people in this field.
