A meeting to discuss inequalities and male chauvinist violence and a master class in musical composition, by Zahara and El Chojin, are the two proposals presented by the Arrecife en Vivo festival within its AEV Training 2024 training program.

On Monday, May 27 at 8:00 p.m. in the Sala Buñuel of the CIC El Almacén, the artist Zahara will participate in the meeting I was there. Inequality and male chauvinist violence in music and in the classroom, a proposal to reflect on an issue that affects the entire society.

The journalist Myriam Ybot will interview the author, composer and producer, who will later establish a dialogue with four professionals linked to the world of music and education: Mónica Suárez, Guely Robayna, Maru Cabrera and María Valido.

Why is equality still being questioned? How is this situation experienced in the music sector? And in the institute? How does music help us heal wounds and understand each other better? The meeting, aimed at all audiences, will address these issues and end with a small snack at the Bar Picasso. Admission to the meeting with Zahara is free, but it is necessary to reserve a place.

On Tuesday, June 18 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sala Buñuel of the CIC El Almacén, the rapper and composer El Chojin will give a rap lyrics creation workshop, Hip hop is positive leisure: consume culture, aimed at anyone with creative concerns.

Rap is a perfect instrument to communicate. A generator of personal satisfaction, self-realization and security. In this master class, students will stir up interest in the good use of language, learn notions of metrics and composition of rhythmic texts. The activity will have a theoretical part in which the culture of hip hop in Spain will be reviewed and a space for dialogue will be opened. In the practical part, groups will be created to work on rhymes and a staging will be done.

There are 25 places for students and a limited number of places to attend the workshop as a listener. Registration is free, but it is essential to reserve a place, as a participant or as a listener through this link. On the web AEV Channel of the Arrecife en Vivo festival we can expand information about the program.

These two activities complement the program of the Arrecife en Vivo festival, which this year will be held on September 20 and 27, October 4 and 11, 2024 in its usual pedestrian route through the Arrecife marina.

So far, the Lanzarote festival has confirmed the presence of artists such as Lía Kali, Sara Socas, Sho Hai, Boskat, El Chojin, Dúo Kie, Cala Vento, Nat Simons, Perarnau IV & Drama (Zahara's visual project), Komfortrauschen, Drüpe and Cantera Rock. The programmers advance that October 4 will be a day especially dedicated to rock.

This event with live music will add this year two days of paid concerts to its usual free Friday routes: it will be on Saturday, October 5, with a 100% rock poster, and on Saturday, October 12 with a party designed for dancing.
