The city council of Arrecife has approved the urban planning licenses that will allow the construction of a total of 43 new homes of private initiative, located according to a note to the media "in different parts of the city".
In the same session of the Local Government Board held this Wednesday, the execution of projects that include 40 parking spaces has also been authorized, contributing to reinforcing the provision of services linked to residential growth.
The Councilor for Urban Planning, Maciot Cabrera, has underlined that “we continue to take firm steps to increase the housing supply in Arrecife, speeding up files and facilitating projects that had been in process for some time to move forward”.
“This impulse is the result of the constant work we are doing to improve the functioning of the technical office and reduce administrative times, something key to responding to the current needs of the municipality,” adds Cabrera.
For his part, the deputy mayor and head of Contracting, Echedey Eugenio, has highlighted the importance of the measures adopted by the governing group regarding housing and has emphasized that “we are acting from different municipal areas to face the challenge of access to housing, and one of the keys is precisely to unblock the technical office so that the files advance with greater agility”.
Eugenio has remarked that “this line of work is complemented by other initiatives promoted by the City Council, all aimed at generating more residential opportunities and facilitating the translation of investment into real housing for the residents of Arrecife”.
