Last Saturday, March 1, the D&M Awards gala took place at the municipal theater of San Bartolomé, an evening where the production company directed by Daniel Moisés paid tribute to local artists and their daily effort in the profession with performances by Ángela Luque, MT Dance, Tatiana Niz, Jennifer Sánchez, Mónica Arencibia, Jenelle García and the Marius John Band together with Arima Saavedra.
The ceremony was presented by youtubers and also dubbing actors Keunam and Hermoti, who knew how to liven up with humor, imitations and live dubbing a night full of emotion.
Daniel Moisés gave an opening speech thanking the media, institutions, artists, family and all the staff who work in the world of entertainment for their commendable work and their constant dedication and support.
The Cinema award went to Hernán Zin, a renowned director, producer and screenwriter, creator of world-renowned documentaries such as "Born in Gaza", "Born in Syria" or "13 Days". The director was enormously grateful for the affection with which he is received in Lanzarote every time he comes, to the point of sharing with the attendees that he will soon become his new home, giving hints of a new film he is working on based on the island of Lanzarote.
The Artistic Career award was given to the announcer and presenter Francisco José Navarro, who was honored with the song La gata bajo la lluvia performed by Ángela Luque through images of the veteran presenter's more than 50 years on stage. He had words of thanks for the public and for the people of Lanzarote and especially for his native town: San Bartolomé. His career of more than 50 years has served as an essential support for the art and culture of our island.
The Voice award was given to actress, dubbing actress and singer Laura Pastor, voice of Anna in "Frozen" or Hermione in "Harry Potter", among more than 500 characters she has dubbed throughout her career. Notably excited, she thanked the warm welcome that the people of Lanzarote always gave her and the support of D&M to the world of dubbing.
The young singer Jenelle García performed one of the singer's songs, Monstruos. The actress has been developing her work as a singer in recent months with great success of listeners with her first two singles Monstruos and Kirai, the latter with a video clip filmed entirely in Japan.
