The San Bartolomé City Council has highlighted the success of participation and attendance at the HeART Festival. "3,500 people attended the event to participate in all the popular spaces that were established along Playa Honda Avenue," the council highlights. A total of "27 shows and activities for all types of audiences" and "the participation of various local groups" made up the event.
"HeArt captivated the most curious spectators who came last weekend to discover what the program was in its first edition. A whole weekend dedicated to the performing arts where citizens enjoyed different multidisciplinary works, in the form of shows and activities around culture and leisure," the city council points out.
In the different spaces that the HeART organization designed for the development of the event, several local groups such as Aspercan, Tribarte, Espacio Mujer, Tercera Edad Playa Honda, IES Playa Honda, IES San Bartolomé, CEIPs El Quintero, Ajei, Güime, María Auxiliadora and Playa Honda, participated during the three days of the festival. This turned the event into a close and unique initiative, based on sustainability and the circular economy.
From Arenao Producciones, they point out that they are "very happy with the participation in this first edition. It has been a rewarding job to see how citizens have participated in the different shows and activities, enjoying culture and leisure in a different way."
The mayor, Isidro Pérez, has announced that "given the great reception of the festival, San Bartolomé is going to continue betting on this type of initiative that places the municipality at the forefront of cultural events."
The San Bartolomé City Council, together with Arenao Producciones, "has been in charge of organizing this event full of culture and leisure for the citizens. All this with the sponsorship of the Cabildo de Lanzarote and Turismo Islas Canarias, and the collaboration of the Instituto Canario de Desarrollo Cultural," they highlight from the council.
