The San Antonio de Tías Chapel hosts the exhibition organized by the El Pavón group from June 5, which includes all the advertising posters of the 24 editions of its festival, as well as photos and lyrics of some of its songs.
The event was attended by the acting mayor of the Tías City Council, José Juan Cruz, the acting Councilor for Culture, Pepa González, who congratulated some of the members present in the room for the work of so many years and for having been such worthy ambassadors of the municipality in each of the many visits they have made, taking their music throughout the Canary Islands and part of the Peninsula.
Juan Miguel Morales, president of El Pavón, closed the round of speeches by thanking "the institutional support they have always received and the public present for their support throughout all these years." The event ended with the performance of two young musicians, Adrián Reyes and Carlos Bonilla, guitar and timple, performing some Canarian compositions, which were also joined by another member of El Pavón, Pedro Rodríguez, with some tenths alluding to the content of the exhibition, which can be visited from next Monday, June 13 to Friday, June 16 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Next Saturday, June 10 at 8:30 p.m. in the Terrero de Lucha "Ulpiano Rodríguez Pérez" in Tías, the Popular Music Group "El Pavón" will celebrate its XXV Festival "Mi cuna es Tías", with performances by Besay Pérez, José Vicente Pérez and David León. Admission is free until full capacity.
