Last Tuesday night, the stage installed in the José Ramírez Cerdá park was transformed with the show offered by the Musical Group El Pavón, from the municipality of Tías, called Esencia & Orilla. The group pleasantly surprised the audience with a very novel content, where the musical base and the choirs were one hundred percent during the entire concert. All this, directed by Professor Mel Reyes, always attentive and taking care of the smallest detail, thus achieving the set objective.
Esencia & Orilla is a show where music and dance go hand in hand, supported by songs with Canarian roots, intermingled with the most representative of Latin American countries, such as Argentina, Peru or Venezuela. To which were also added some rancheras and the latest in musical pop.
The musical group from Tías worked hard to carry out this magnificent show, with the collaboration of great music and dance artists, such as the timplista Althay Páez, a young man from Fuerteventura with an amazing technical capacity, who puts his personal stamp on everything he does to take it to different countries around the world.
On such a special night, David León also joined the show, who cannot resist any instrument that passes through his hands.
The dance brought a touch of plasticity and elegance in each of its interpretive facets. Among them, the surprising choreographies carried out by the Argentine couple, who staged the most representative dances of their country. The Canary Islands were also very well represented by several couples who, to the chords of the folia, isa and malagueña, drew each of the movements on the stage with total naturalness.
Another very important part was the voices of the soloists invited for this event. Among those voices was that of the palmera Andrea Rodríguez, possessor of some registers that she shows off when interpreting any musical genre, from the most traditional of Canarian song to the most recent of pop. Also Fabiola Fernández, a woman from Lanzarote linked to the world of folklore, who cannot resist any musical genre either. For her voice range, there is no mountain that resists her. Another of the participating solo voices was that of Elieser Betancort, a stream of voice that does not go unnoticed. He interprets an isa as well as a ranchera. Without a doubt, his presence on stage is one of the most applauded.
The Musical Group El Pavón was the fundamental pillar for the show Esencia & Orilla to achieve the set objective. Its 25 members, men with a great background in the instrumental part with outstanding soloists.
The public, which filled the allowed capacity, enjoyed Esencia & Orilla, a show that they will remember for its good work. Among the public was also the mayor of the Arrecife City Council, Yonathan de León, the Councilor for Festivities, Echedey Eugenio, and corporation colleagues. To conclude the event, the president of the Musical Group El Pavón, Juan Miguel Morales, presented the mayor with a replica of the advertising poster.
