The Los Diabletes mask workshop in Teguise was successfully closed, within the workshops framed in the program 'X Projects of Culture and Tradition' organized by the Cabildo of Lanzarote, the City Council of Teguise and the Cultural and Folk Associations Virgen de Las Nieves and the Los Diabletes Association.
The workshops that were taught by the monitors, Tomás Cabrera and Juan Antonio Hernández, had the participation of nine students, who for five days attended the workshops in the morning from 9.30 to 12.30 hours. Guided by the instructions of the monitors from the first moment, they began to knead the clay giving shape to the template and continued with the process making the masks of Los Diabletes.
The closing ceremony was attended by the mayor of the Teguise City Council Olivia Duque, the Councilor for Culture Francisco Javier Díaz and the President of the Cultural and Folk Associations Virgen de Las Nieves Noly Peraza, and both thanked the monitors Tomás Cabrera and Juan Antonio Hernández for the professionalism and dedication carried out during the course.
In addition, they congratulated the students for the interest shown during the course achieving such magnificent results, without a doubt the mask is one of the most spectacular and original elements of the Los Diabletes clothing.
